Birmingham Parking Guide

If you drive to uni it's no surprise you'll want to find the best and cheapest places to park in Birmingham. City parking can add up and if you're coming from far afield without a knowledge of the top spots, a little help can make your student finances go a long way. Below is a list of locations to suit your needs at uni.

Short stay parking

As a busy student, there might be days when all you have time for is to come to uni for your lecture. Short stay parking is also good for quick meet-ups with friends or getting together for group projects. Our City Centre Campus is surrounded by car parks and you can park for three hours for less than three pounds.

The New Canal Street car park is a car park just by Moor Street Station and just a short walk to the City Centre campus. A three-hour stay costs just £2.10. Check out New Canal Street location and prices.

Want a covered car park? The multi-storey NCP costs £3.60 for three hours and is even closer Curzon, Parkside and Millennium Point than Lench Street!

Long stay parking

If you're in need of a long day at uni or want to go out with friends after lectures then your best bet is to see if there are any spaces available at Digbeth High Street Car park, which offers an all-day flat fee.

Other affordable car parks include:

New Canal Street Car park: £3 all day

Lench Street : £5.00 for all-day parking.

Parking at City South Campus

There is limited parking at City South Campus so it may be necessary for you to use our overspill facilities at nearby Broadway Plaza. If parking here remember to validate your ticket at City South Campus Reception and you will pay the reduced fee of £3.50 for all-day parking!

Clean Air Zone

  • Live

Birmingham City Council introduced a Clean Air Zone on Tuesday 1 June 2021. The zone charges the most polluting vehicles to enter parts of the city, in a bid to tackle air pollution.
