Professor Leam Craig
Professor Leam Craig is a Consultant Forensic & Clinical Psychologist and Partner at Forensic Psychology Practice Ltd. He is a Chartered and dual Registered Forensic & Clinical Psychologist.
He has over 23 years experiences as an expert witness to civil and criminal courts. He has previously been instructed by the Catholic and Church of England Dioceses, South African Police Service and the United States Air Force in matters of forensic risk assessment. He has provided a clinical forensic psychology service to North Birmingham NHS Adult Mental Health Services, South Birmingham Community Learning Disability Forensic Service and Her Majesty’s Prison & Probation service, England & Wales and Northern Ireland.
Previously Consultant Lead to three forensic psychiatric hospitals for people with personality disorders, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour. He has over 100 publications including 12 books.
He is currently Chair of the British Psychological Society, Expert Witness Advisory Group (EWAG) and Clinical Lead on the Offenders with Personality Disorder Pathway (HMPPS: Derbyshire).

Professor Craig has experience as a lead researcher in writing tender documents for national research projects and commercial contracts with a combined value of over £2.3 million.
- 2013-2019: Implementation of National Offender Management Service (NOMS: Ministry of Justice) Personality Disorder Offender Pathway, managing offenders with personality disorders in the community with Derbyshire Probation Trust.
- 2013-2019: Forensic psychology consultancy service with Derbyshire Probation Trust and Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) on high risk offenders in the community.
- 2013-2014: Value £90,000 research grant, Ministry of Justice. Co-Principal Investigator into the use of expert witnesses within the Family Law Courts.
- 2007-2012: Treatment and research contract: Development of an inpatient clinical forensic psychology service for patients detained under the Mental Health Act.
