Fiona is the Deputy Course Lead for the BSc Psychology and Counselling programme. She is a BACP registered and UKCP accredited psychotherapist/counsellor. She has been in practice since 2017 and has worked as a lecturer in counselling since 2021. Alongside her work as a lecturer at BCU Fiona also runs her own private psychotherapy practice.
Before training to become a psychotherapist Fiona studied at the School of Oriental and African Studies and worked in Tanzania and Kenya in the not-for-profit sector.
Fiona is particularly interested in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues within the psychotherapy and counselling profession and is passionate about making counselling training more accessible and inclusive.
