Amy's research interest is closely aligned to teaching and practice and is focused on the student experience including learning and wellbeing.

Amy is a key contributor to projects investigating the role of mindfulness in increasing academic performance and factors which impact on student satisfaction. Her current research is focused on embedding Mental Health First Aid in psychology curriculums and supporting local secondary schools to do this in their curriculum.

Amy's research interests also encompass visual attentional difficulties in children, which she investigates using behavioural and computational modelling studies.
