Sharda Murria is a socio-legal scholar who teaches Policing and Criminology. She has a keen interest in policing and the criminal justice system, and is passionate about delivering ‘real world impact’.

As Course Leader for the Professional Policing Degree, Sharda has a keen focus on student support, employability and establishing employer-projects.

Her Ph.D. is an inter-disciplinary study which examines the concept of a ‘good’ stop and search in the era of Body-Worn Videos. She is currently engaged in research and impact-driven activities with police forces focused on stop and search and promoting positive police-community relations.
