Dr Mohammed Rahman’s academic ethos is to acquire knowledge and impart it to those that can contribute to impact and societal change.

His research concerns serious crimes, namely organised crime.  Theoretically and methodologically, his work is multi-disciplinary, which therefore allows him to capture an array of meanings when it comes to investigating criminal and harmful behaviour that are of national debate and concern.

As research cluster lead for Community Engagement and Resolution, Mohammed is committed to identifying needs-led, realistic solutions for those affected by criminality in Birmingham and the region of the West Midlands, England.

Mohammed is also passionate about techno-pedagogy and has a vested interested in immersive learning techniques.  He regularly uses such approaches when teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students.
