Chelsea Papworth

Chelsea is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Therapy, joining Birmingham City University in 2017 when the Sports Therapy course first started. She has been teaching in Higher Education since 2013 and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Chelsea’s clinical experience includes football and rugby settings, as well as private clinics. Chelsea also holds varied event experience and has worked alongside Children with Cancer UK to provide Sports Therapy support at London Marathon for the past 13 years.

Chelsea holds an MSc in Psychology, which compliments her interest in athlete responses and behaviours throughout the injury process.

Chelsea oversees all placement activity for the BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy course and is the Clinical Lead for the in-house Sports Therapy clinics.
