Dr Ana Araujo

Dr Ana Araujo was trained as an architect, and she currently works in the fields of the visual arts and interior design. Her research interests include the intersection of the above-mentioned creative disciplines with the areas of psychology, anthropology and gender studies.

Ana is the author of “No Compromise: the work of Florence Knoll” (Princeton Architectural Press, 2021), which was translated to Spanish under the title “Florence Knoll: Sin Concesiones” (Santa & Cole, 2026). She has contributed to the documentary “Florence Knoll: Nothing Left to Chance”, directed by Lisanne Skyler and produced by Design OnScreen (forthcoming 2027). Ana has published in prestigious outlets, including the Journal of Architecture and has published book chapters in editorial compilations, including the forthcoming “Knoll Textiles” in the book entitled “Textiles and the Modern Interior”, edited by Eva Storgaard and Deniz Hasirci (Bloomsbury, 2027). She has also been on the editorial board of Journal of Design History and Bloomsbury Publications.

Ana’s current research focuses on the topic of art, health and wellbeing, drawing from research developed by the UCL Institute of Epidemiology & Health Care and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London. It consists in a program of lectures based on art books to be given to different companies as a part of their CPD activities, with the aim of improving the health and wellbeing of their employees.
