Exhibitions

Led by Professor Jiang Jiehong, CCVA curate exhibitions of contemporary art to present cutting-edge art practices to a wider audience. Through our research and curatorial practice, we have been working with artists around the world and develop projects in collaboration with important art museums and institutions internationally, including Guangzhou Triennial (2012), Asia Triennial Manchester (2014) and Thailand Biennale (2018-19). Alongside the increase of China’s power and the Global East, a China issue is a world issue, for example, urbanisation, social conflicts, and cultural legacies in our time. We explore, examine, and ‘translate’ China and its art to the world for updated cross-cultural understandings.
