Andrew McQueen

Andy completed his BSc Hons in 2014 at Birmingham City University, he then began his clinical career in Trauma and Orthopedics. Following this he moved to a surgical HDU setting and gained other experience and skills in this post. He also became a student mentor and has always enjoyed guiding students and teaching. In late 2018 he worked for six months in Melbourne Australia and gained further experience in Hematology Oncology. Upon returning to the UK he worked as an outreach nurse assessing deteriorating patients and gaining further skills including returning to BCU to complete his Acute Care Pathway. In late 2021 he began as a part time clinical skills demonstrator at BCU and enjoyed passing on clinical knowledge and skill.
