After working and teaching for 25 years both in practice and in a hospital environment Simon has come to learn that stress for the patient and the clinician seemed to be a daily event. He looked for a way to relieve this and signed up for a clinical hypnosis course. Simon quickly understood the potential for stress reduction within the professional environment and together with colleagues developed a course designed to allow clinicians to learn how to use hypnosis and language skills to help manage those daily stresses and to facilitate healthcare delivery, making a genuine contribution to the quality of care you can give. With support from BCU we have been able to further develop this course and give it an academic underpinning to allow you to not just learn how, but why these skills work. This course will allow you to learn how to integrate your new found skills into your personal life and your clinical practice when working with both patients and colleagues.

Simon worked as a dentist until 2001, managing in a mixed NHS/private practice and teaching part time at Birmingham Dental Hospital.

Simon sits on the Academic and Accreditation Committee for BSCAH and hold a position on the National Council.
