Birmingham City University’s STEAMhouse has been shortlisted for the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) awards.
The awards showcase "inspirational initiatives and developments" and recognise outstanding achievement, teamwork and companies, and the regional winners will be announced in May.
Entries are shortlisted across six categories – commercial development; community benefit; heritage; public sector; refurbishment-revitalisation; and residential. STEAMhouse has been shortlisted in the heritage, refurbishment-revitalisation, and public sector categories.
STEAMhouse is a unique centre dedicated to providing a space for collaboration, innovation and the development of new ideas, start-ups and ventures.
STEAMhouse is one of one of thirteen building projects from the West Midlands region.
Mayor of the West Midlands Andy Street said: “This is exactly what we want to see, some of our best developments in the West Midlands competing in the RICS awards for 2022.”
