Birmingham City University will be marking this year’s Comic Relief (Friday 15 March) with a range of fundraising activities across its campuses – including the chance to take a photograph alongside our Chancellor Sir Lenny Henry.
To celebrate the annual event the University will be placing cardboard cut-outs of Sir Lenny around its buildings and inviting people to take a selfie with the icon and make a donation to help support the charitable cause.
There will also be a host of other activities taking place at the City South Campus including carnival style games, a tombola, red nose competition and a cake sale, which will all be hosted by the High Achievers Recognition Scheme (HARS).
Sir Lenny Henry said: “I’m extremely proud to see staff and students getting stuck in and raising money for Comic Relief again this year.
“None of this would be possible without the support of the public and events like this are a fantastic way to raise awareness.”
Events will be taking place between 10.30am and 1.30pm at the City South Campus and between 10am and 2pm at the City Centre Campus.
