Student drives forward exciting new project

University News Last updated 22 November 2012

A second year student from the School of Engineering Design Manufacturing Systems (EDMS) has been working on plans to improve the University's Drift Car.

The car is a Nissan 200X which students at the Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment have customised over recent years.

Previously, students have utilised the Drift Car for final year projects, conducting experiments and research.

Saaber Jan Mirzaei, a Mechanical Engineering student, has pitched the idea of a new student project. “This project is aimed at making improvements to the mechanical and electronic systems of the University’s Drift Car and having some fun in the process.”

Regardless of what course you study, everyone is invited to get involved with the project. Learn more on 28 November (12.30pm-2.30pm) at Birmingham Wheels.
