Birmingham City University will be opening its doors next week for three dedicated postgraduate open evenings.

Taking place on May 25th, 26 and 27 the open evenings will cover a range of subjects from Media to Construction and will provide prospective students with an opportunity to find out more about the vast range of courses on offer and meet key members staff.

Birmingham City University is developing a unique reputation for its cutting edge and high quality postgraduate level learning experience. Recognised in the RAE-2008 as a ‘rising star’ university, it combines excellence in research and teaching. Furthermore, in 2009 the University was awarded a 107 per cent increase in research funding which was directly related to the excellent quality of work undertaken, much of it world class. This was one of the largest increases in funding across the sector.

Lyn Holder, Head of Outreach and Enquiry Management at Birmingham City University, said: “ Our postgraduate open evenings are an excellent opportunity for potential students to come along and talk to academic staff to find out more about possible course options.  Why not come along and see what we have to offer.”

The Open Days will be taking place at several of Birmingham City University campuses including City North in Perry Barr, Millennium Point in the City Centre and City South Campus in Edgbaston. Log on to www.bcu.ac.uk/pgevents to discover which subjects are available, event locations, times and to register.
