Following the incident yesterday involving a small fire at the Gosta Green campus, it has today [Thursday 22nd March] been confirmed that fire crews have left the site. Estate's staff are working hard to get the workshops up and running for Monday (26th).
It is "business as usual" with all classes and teaching going ahead as scheduled. Any students whose work or assessments have been affected may be given appropriate extensions on hand-in dates and are advised to contact their course tutor.
Margaret Street can be used if necessary. Any students that have work in the workshops that they need to remove should contact Spurgeon Smith, before accessing the Gosta Green workshops.
The cause of the fire hasn't been confirmed but as a precautionary measure - and with immediate effect - there will no smoking on the ramp or at the top of the steps leading into the main entrance of the Gosta Green building.
