Inspired after seeing the designs at a catwalk show the University organised in Digbeth, the Harvey Nichols team chose a collection of work by students, Rong Cherry Xing, Leia Groom, Jayd Cousins, Abigail Buckland and Sophie Vincent, to display in the window of its Mailbox store in Birmingham City Centre.

Constantine Tziambazis, Sales Manager at Harvey Nichols Birmingham, said: “With thousands of people exploring our city over the last 11 days for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, we felt passionate about providing a platform for Birmingham’s emerging fashion designers to exhibit their latest creations.

"We have been so impressed by the quality of work these graduates have produced and have loved building the window display. We wish them all the very best of luck as they enter into the fashion industry.”

Birmingham City University Fashion Design Lecturer Elizabeth Burton said:

Birmingham City University Fashion Design Graduate Jayd Cousins added: “It’s an absolute honour to share a snippet of my collection on a platform as prestigious as Harvey Nichols and represent upcoming fashion talent in Birmingham. I’m really excited to see my work displayed in the same space as some of the most influential names in fashion.”

The eye-catching showcase will be on display in The Mailbox until the end of August.
