Fashion graduates set up shop in Great Western Arcade

Graduates from Birmingham City University’s Fashion Design course are exhibiting their work at a Best of Brum pop-up shop this week in Birmingham’s Great Western Arcade.

Dressed like a working studio, the shop at 18 Great Western Arcade features a sewing machine, fabric rolls and pattern cutting equipment.

Portfolios and garments are also on display, created by the students who graduated from Birmingham City University’s School of Fashion and Textiles earlier this year.

The graduates showcasing their work are Louise Blackstock, Sofia Clarke, Elliet Parchment and Courtney Plumb, who was recently recognised by Graduate Fashion Week as a ‘Star of Tomorrow’.

“Great Western Arcade is a great space to exhibit in”, said Courtney.

The Best of Brum pop-up shop runs until 31 December and celebrates Birmingham creatives. See the Birmingham City University graduates exhibiting until 30 November.
