An exhibition showcasing Birmingham's innovation and creativity took place at the European Parliament in Brussels this week, including representation from the University's Birmingham Made Me team.
The 'Birmingham and Midlands Showcase' event took place from 22 - 24 September and was launched by Neena Gill, West Midlands Labour MEP.
Other notable speakers in attendance included former Poland Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek and Birmingham City Council leader Albert Bore.
Buzek emphasised the important role that the West Midlands played in the first industrial revolution and the region's valuable contributions to Europe.
"We need Birmingham and the West Midlands in the EU", he said.
In praise of Birmingham Made Me, Sir Albert Bore said: "Birmingham Made Me showcases iconic products made in the Midlands.
Other exhibitors in attendance included the University of Birmingham and the University of Warwick.
