The Agilyx Group has launched a major new UK digital transformation business, marking the latest success story to emerge from STEAMhouse – Birmingham City University's flagship innovation centre for ambitious businesses.

A long-standing tenant and partner of STEAMhouse, Agilyx has joined forces with leading European digital transformation specialist Next Consult to establish Next Consult UK.

The new venture combines Agilyx's extensive experience delivering complex digital transformation projects across the UK with Next Consult's internationally recognised expertise in Salesforce and AI-enabled business change, creating a powerful new consultancy serving organisations across the public and private sectors.

Supporting sectors including local government, financial services, retail and professional services, Next Consult UK will deliver everything from large-scale transformation programmes to targeted Salesforce implementations, helping organisations improve customer experience, streamline operations and unlock greater value from technology.

For BCU, the announcement demonstrates the role STEAMhouse plays in helping ambitious businesses innovate, collaborate and scale.

Located in Birmingham's Knowledge Quarter, STEAMhouse brings together entrepreneurs, SMEs, start-ups, academics and students in a collaborative environment that provides access to specialist facilities, research expertise, innovation support and commercial partnerships.

Professor Hanifa Shah OBE, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research, Enterprise, Engagement & STEAM at BCU, said: "STEAMhouse was created to help ambitious businesses innovate faster, access world-class expertise and build the partnerships that enable long-term growth.

"Agilyx's success is exactly the kind of journey we want to enable. Their expansion through the launch of Next Consult UK demonstrates how collaboration between industry and universities can create new opportunities, strengthen the regional economy and position the West Midlands as a leader in digital innovation and business transformation.

"We're proud to have supported Agilyx as it has grown, and we look forward to continuing that partnership as the business enters this exciting new chapter."

Harpal Mattu, Managing Director of The Agilyx Group and co-CEO of Next Consult UK, added: "Being part of the STEAMhouse community has given us opportunities to collaborate, innovate and grow alongside like-minded businesses and University experts.

“It has been an environment that supports ambition, and we're proud to be taking that next step from Birmingham onto an international stage."

Orlin Dochev, CEO of Next Consult Bulgaria and co-CEO of Next Consult UK, said: "Many organisations have trusted Next Consult to help them change the way they work – not just implement technology. We are bringing that same commitment to the UK, and this partnership with Agilyx gives us exactly the right foundation to do it."
