Young people at Big Bang fair

Staff from Birmingham City University will be among the leading organisations hosting stands at this year’s Big Bang event later this month.

The fair, hosted at NEC Birmingham, is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths for young people in the UK. Everything is aimed at showing young people (primarily aged 7-19) just how many exciting and rewarding opportunities there are out there for them with the right experience and qualifications.

Following the success of our Health faculty at last year’s event, this year’s Big Bang will see them joined by staff from Business, Law and Social Sciences. Activities will include the return of the gunge tank, psychological games, crime solving and opportunities to take a selfie with Rory the Tiger or stand in the dock and be a barrister. Watch out for Clive the skeleton and try your hand at resuscitation in our training ambulance.

The University is a corporate sponsor of the event which is being held at the NEC Birmingham from 11-14 March. Entry is free on registration.
