Birmingham City University has launched two fully funded PhD Studentship opportunities with Worcester Warriors Rugby Club (WWRC) and, Kidderminster Harriers Football Club (KHFC).
The studentships start in September 2018 and sports graduates with previous clinical experience within a sports setting will have the opportunity to undertake paid research, as well as taking an important role with two of Worcestershire’s most famous sports teams.
The studentships will last 36 months (three years) and will include a tax-free annual payment of £14,777, in addition to fully funded tuition fees of £4,260 per year.
The PhD Studentships are the first of their kind within the University’s Sport and Exercise department; following the success of four undergraduate sports courses launched in 2017. Associate Dean for Research and Enterprise, Professor Alex Kendall comments:
