INTERIORS UK 2012 provides a significant opportunity for our students to engage with the industry and showcase their interpretations of the latest trends. Working closely with Interiors & Lifestyle Futures, we have collaborated with regionally based designers and manufacturers to develop a range of outcomes for each trend which showcase the students’ work and demonstrate how trends can be applied from original design thinking through to end product.

The project, based on a long-term partnership with UBM Live, Global Color Research, Mix Publications and international digital wall covering manufacturer Tektura, is in its fifth year and has enabled over 500 students to engage with industry, resulting in placements, internships and employment.

This year sees a new collaboration with Karndean Design Flooring which will be showcasing a range of flooring on the Birmingham City University Stand, located within the Design Village, Hall 2.

The project reflects Birmingham City University’s commitment to producing highly skilled, industry-ready graduates and is one of many ongoing partnerships with businesses such as AGA Rangemaster, Hille chairs and Tektura Wallcovering.

Discover how our innovative graduates, in partnership with our experienced staff, can provide new inspiration to your business.
