Book your place for our Undergraduate Sport Open Day on Saturday 26 September to see what it's like to study, train and be coached at Alexander Stadium, home to our Sport and Exercise Science, Sports Coaching and Sports Therapy courses.

This open day is for anyone considering:

Sport and Exercise Science - BSc (Hons)
Sports Coaching and Development - FdSc
Sports Coaching and Physical Education - BSc (Hons)
Sports Therapy - BSc (Hons)

Who is this for?

It’s open to everyone, but it’s definitely for you if you…

Want to study sport somewhere built for it: you'll spend the day at Alexander Stadium, seeing first-hand the equipment and facilities you'd be training and learning in as a BCU sport student.

Want a course that gets you work-ready: our sport courses are built around practical, placement-based learning, from coaching experience to sports therapy clinics, so you graduate with real experience, not just a degree.

Want to study at a modern university in a major city: We’re at the heart of the UK’s second-largest city with a population of over 1.1 million people. Birmingham has the highest quality of life of any city in England outside the capital, ahead of international hotspots such as Hong Kong, Rome, and Dubai. (Mercer Quality of Living City Ranking 2024).

Want to study at a university with a great student experience: BCU has been awarded the highest possible rating of Gold for Student Experience, and Silver overall, in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

What can I do?

Tour the campus and see the equipment: get a proper look at the facilities and kit you'd be using across your course.

Attend course talks: hear directly from the teams delivering Sport and Exercise Science, Sports Coaching and Development, Sports Coaching and Physical Education, and Sports Therapy.

Take an accommodation tour: see where you could be living, and get a feel for student life beyond the course.

Talk to admissions: get your entry requirement and application questions answered on the spot.

Hear from BCU Sport: find out what's on offer outside your course, from teams and facilities to opportunities to get involved.

Chat informally with academics and student ambassadors: ask the people who teach, and the people who've done it anything you like, no formal Q&A required.
