COST Action TU1201 will be holding its sixth plenary session, working group meeting and seventh MC meeting at Birmingham City University’s newly-built state-of-the-art Curzon Building.
The high profile event takes place between 3 and 5 September and sees representatives from almost 40 countries gather to discuss research and share thoughts on urban gardening. Deputy Head of Birmingham School of Architecture and Design, Hannah Vowles said:
"It also gives BCU a fantastic opportunity to showcase its amazing facilities to a global audience. It is an honour to have an event of such significance hosted here and gives me and the School of Architecture and Design an enormous amount of pride and satisfaction."
The facilitator of the event, COST is the longest-running European framework supporting trans-national cooperation among researchers, engineers and scholars. This is the third year that the EU funded project ‘COST Action TU1201 Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities’ has been in operation, with just one further year remaining.
