Rachel-Ann Charles

Postdoctoral Researcher

Rachel-Ann’s research, 'Evaluating community media initiatives: an impact assessment of the Shoot to Live project in Trinidad and Tobago', looks at the impact of media for social change programs and projects in at-risk communities in Trinidad and Tobago.

Other areas also come to the fore in this study such as poverty, youth, development, gender, and cultural studies. She envisions that the findings and discussions of this research will be used to inform local youth policy and contribute to broader ideas on media for social change. She also conducts research in many other areas such as gender, poverty, creative and cultural studies.
