  • Nicola Stevens

    Assistant Lecturer

    Nicola Stevens completed both of her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Birmingham City University. She briefly worked in a law firm whilst studying for her postgraduate degree but returned to academia shortly after graduating.

  • Dr Alice Storey

    Course Director for LLM International Human Rights / LLM International Law

    Dr Alice Storey is a Lecturer in the School of Law and Associate Director of the Centre for Human Rights. She leads the American Criminal Procedure & Evidence and America & International Legal Issues modules.

  • Linda Sweeney

    Senior Lecturer, LPC Deputy Course Director

    Prior to teaching Linda qualified as a solicitor at a large commercial practice in Birmingham (now DLA Piper). She subsequently worked in private practice primarily dealing with commercial litigation and corporate insolvency matters.

  • Pamela Thomas

    Senior Lecturer

    Pamela Thomas is the LLB Admissions Tutor and a Lecturer in the School of Law. She is currently the module leader for the Legal Method module on the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and also Liaison Tutor for the LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology pathway.

  • Alison Turnbull

    Senior Lecturer

    Alison Turnbull completed her first degree at the University of Leicester and went on to qualify as a solicitor in private practice, working with the firm Eversheds. She joined Birmingham City University in 1989.

    Professor of Human Rights and Director of the Centre for Human Rights

    Jon Yorke is a Reader in Law in the School of Law and Director of the Centre for American Legal Studies.  Jon's main interests include European Human Rights, English and European Medical Law, Capital Punishment, Legal Theory and Legal Research.
