Baiyang Yu

The inspiration for Baiyang’s work comes from when she found some things in her mind were different from how they were before.

The serious wearable jewellery reflects the change process of traces of memories left in people’s mind as time goes on.

The technique used in this collection is metal wires inlayed in resin and metal because the process of inlay is similar to the process of human brain memory.

She used different colours, shapes and thicknesses of metal wires to express memory change processes in people’s mind. Tube resin and cubic metal these simple geometric forms are for highlight the change of metal wires on the surfaces, at the same time, black colour make pieces have sense of age.

She hopes to recall memory and find their change in people’s mind when they see her work.
