School of Jewellery

Tristan’s passion is miniature art, particularly science fiction and fantasy. He also specialises in mould making with silicones as well as casting with plasters and resins. Tristan has been an art practitioner in TV and film making props sets and puppets for stop motion productions as well as moulding costumes and props for feature films ranging from Star Wars to the live-action Beauty and the Beast.

In his spare time, Tristan likes to work on miniature painting and model making which he sometimes enters competitions. He also enjoys furniture making using traditional as well as more modern carpentry and marquetry inlay techniques. Tristan loves to use as many traditional ways of creating as he can but is always on the lookout for how he can incorporate digital methods of production into his work to improve personally and pass this knowledge on to students within the School of Jewellery.
