Throughout her career, Claire has explored the potential for Computer Aided Design through working for a variety of both commercial and private clients. Claire has developed platinum and diamond product ranges and has created exclusive designs which were recognised by Platinum Guild International having won their platinum Innovation awards. She has also developed designs that explored the potential for multi-metal / colour casting. The potential for the design that CAD offers and the advancements in prototyping / 3D printing technology allows Claire to continue to develop marketable products while exploring concepts and ideas through a range of materials. She ensures that students have the opportunity to develop their own ideas and follow their own pathways into the industry. Therefore, the course attracts creatives from different disciplines. The experience and contacts that Claire brings to the programme provide a realistic insight into the industry and practical skills to provide students with a variety of opportunities for employment and career progression. She embeds industry relevant skills and understanding into all modules, keeping the course current and relevant in a world of technology that is constantly evolving.
