Television Drama and Short Form Storytelling

Course aims

This course introduces students to the key concepts and production techniques used to create compelling drama for both television and online video platforms. Students will learn a range of practical skills such as idea generation, script writing, television production techniques, and more. Previous production skills are not required as a team of experienced staff and technicians will be on hand to assist.

The course focuses on professional ‘real world’ practice and takes place in the state-of-the-art television studios of the University’s Parkside building. Students will also have access to professional filming and editing equipment.
