Lucas encourages creative, design-led thinking from regional and city scale to construction details. A practising Urban Designer and Landscape Architect, with a PhD exploring Spatial Computing and Co-Urban Design, Lucas aims to bridge design, planning, politics and society with hands-on appreciation of physical and social built environment design.

Teaching philosophy

Lucas fosters an open-minded studio environment where students develop a full-spectrum skill set - professional, academic, technical and artistic. Whether analysing social interactions, prototyping technological systems or fine-tuning environmental performance, his goal is to help emerging designers deliver characterful, sensitive solutions for the built environment.
