Birmingham City University is home to Moroccan and other Arab students who study courses from MBA International to BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering.
Our research work continues to attract international attention, 93% of our research was recognised internationally for originality, significance and rigour, of which 19% was judged world-leading (REF 2021).
It's a particularly exciting time to become a student at Birmingham City University. We've invested over £500 million in our estate, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, providing students with an enviable range of facilities.
Our industry partnerships, work placements and practical approach to our world famous courses will give you international career prospects. BCU students study in a city focused on education and culture and all students have full access to The Library of Birmingham, Europe’s largest library.
Birmingham also has many of your home comforts including mosques, halal supermarkets and restaurants and a very active Islamic Society in our Students Unions. We are home to football teams including West Bromwich Albion, Aston Villa and Birmingham City FC, and you can join as many of our sports teams or societies as you wish.
Birmingham has its very own international airport which is located a 10 minute train journey from our City Centre Campus. Modern, safe and perfectly located on-campus accommodation is available to all international students on a first-come, first-served basis. On your first day our airport pickup team will meet you at the airport and take you to your chosen University accommodation.

English language requirements
Undergraduate
BCU is offering a scholarship of £5,000 to self-funding international undergraduate students joining BCU on a full-time degree. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount of £3,000 in year one and £2,000 in year two.

Postgraduate
BCU is offering a scholarship of £3,000 to self-funding international postgraduate students joining BCU on a full-time postgraduate taught Master’s degree. The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount.
We regularly visit your region to meet students, agents and our partners. During our trips to Morocco we are always prepared to meet current, future and alumni students. All visits will be posted in this section of the website. If there are no visits listed you can contact Regional Partnerships Manager, Charles Magee to ask any questions or see when we’re next visiting the region.
