We welcome many Ghanaian students and visit your country often. Please see the visits tab below for more information on our visits.

For Ghanaians living in Birmingham, you will be welcomed to a friendly, multicultural city where you will feel very much at home – Birmingham has lots to offer including major food stores featuring many world foods.

We have many places of worship in Birmingham and venues where you can walk in and listen to live music. There are entertaining places to go out, including StarCity which has a 25 screen cinema, bowling alley and places to eat.

It's a particularly exciting time to become a student at Birmingham City University. We've invested over £500 million in our estate, including a major expansion of our City Centre Campus at Eastside, providing students with an enviable range of facilities.

Our research work continues to attract international attention, 93% of our research was recognised internationally for originality, significance and rigour, of which 19% was judged world-leading (REF 2021).
