As a Graduate Sports Therapist with a Masters in Strength and Conditioning, Callum has extensive experience working in professional football with both male and female athletes. His work experience started at Leicester City Women FC before accepting a role with Hartlepool United as Head of Medical. In 2020, Callum began studying for his MSc in Strength & Conditioning while working at Salford City FC in League 2. Most recently, Callum has been working in the Scottish Premier League with Motherwell FC from 2021-2023 and finally, Wigan Athletic.

Callum began his role at Birmingham City University as a Lecturer in Sports Therapy in the latter stages of 2023. He is still maintaining work on a consultancy basis with athletes in various sports.

Callum has a specific research interest surrounding the physical and mechanical determinants of change of direction performance relating to athletic profiling, physical development, injury mitigation and injury rehabilitation. Callum has contributed to “Routledge Handbook of Sports and Exercise Therapy”, co-writing the “Management of Injuries in the Lower Limb” chapter.
