Dr George Oguntala
Dr George Oguntala PhD, CEng is a Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering in the Department of Life Sciences, School of Health Sciences. George joined Birmingham City University in 2020. He is currently a co-lead of the Interdisciplinary Research Cluster for Healthcare, Technology and Diseases. Before joining the University, George worked as an electronics engineer and consultant, as well as post-doctoral research assistant and research assistant in wireless communication, digital and smart health with the Department of Biomedical and Electronics Engineering, University of Bradford.
George has 16 years of teaching and research experience across several higher education institutions in Nigeria and the UK. He has published over 60 papers in respected scientific journals, presented at international conferences, authored two books and contributed to two book chapters. He is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and a Chartered Engineer.
