Lara Alamad

School of Nursing and Midwifery
0121 331 7050

Lara joined the University in 2016 as a Research Assistant, working within the Department for Children and Young People’s Health, the wider School of Nursing and supporting the work of the Elizabeth Bryan Multiple Births Centre.

Lara qualified as a Children’s Nurse in 2003 and has enjoyed a varied career working within orthopaedics, perioperative care, neonates and clinical research. The latter role underlined the importance of research to improve our work with children and families. Lara hopes to work with the team, to produce research that makes difference to families with multiple births, with a particular focus on the experiences and views of children and young people.
