Nick graduated from the Human Anatomy programme at the University of Liverpool. He later qualified as a radiotherapy radiographer from City University, London. His experience as a clinical radiographer was at Mount Vernon Hospital and at radiotherapy departments in Sydney, Australia. Nick went on to work as a clinical learning facilitator supporting University of Hertfordshire students, and later joined City University as a clinical lecturer and hospital-based lecturer at St Bartholomew’s hospital, London. Nick joined Birmingham City University in 2003 as a researcher and clinical tutor, later to undertake the role of senior lecturer.
Nick teaches on both the Undergraduate and the Postgraduate Radiography programmes, and has responsibility as Personal Tutor for students placed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, part of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.
Nick has been working in radiography education for 16 years. He is a course assessor for the College of Radiographers and member of the Approvals and Accreditation Board. Nick is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
