Lisa qualified as a Therapeutic Radiographer from the University of Liverpool and the Christie Hospital Manchester. Her experience as a clinical radiographer was at Mount Vernon Hospital. Christie Hospital, Clatterbridge Hospital and Auckland Hospital, New Zealand.  Lisa joined the therapeutic radiography teaching team at Birmingham City University (BCU) (formerly the University of Central England (UCE)) in 1998 as a Lecturer, and then in 2001 took the role of Senior Lecturer. 

Lisa is currently Course Lead for the MSc Therapeutic Radiography (pre-registration) course. She has teaching responsibilities on both the MSc and BSc Therapeutic Radiography courses including research supervision and is a Personal Tutor. Her wider role within the Faculty is that of Panel member for Disclosure and Barring Service and Fitness to Practice panels. 

Lisa has been working in therapeutic radiography education for over 20 years and has gained extensive experience of course design and re-approval processes at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. 

Lisa is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
