Samantha Salmon
Prior to lecturing Samantha worked at a short breaks service for adults with learning disabilities, ranging from profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) to mild learning disabilities, focusing on increasing independence. The service comprised of two units, one adapted to accommodate people with complex physical health needs and the other designed for people who had sensory processing issues, coexisting mental health conditions and/or autistic spectrum conditions.
Samantha was involved with teaching SHAREVILLE whilst studying at the university, she also is part of Simple Stuff Works organisation and teaches postural care during CAP.
Samantha has an interest in End of Life Care for people with Learning Disabilities and is involved in developing how this is implemented.
