Jodie Bryant
Jodie is a strategic healthcare leader, HCPC-registered Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist and experienced educator, with over 20 years’ experience leading transformation and innovation across rehabilitation, discharge planning, frailty, neurology and respiratory care.
Jodie currently serves as Chief Allied Health Professional and Deputy Chief Nursing Officer at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, alongside her academic leadership role as Associate Professor and Professional Academic Lead at Birmingham City University. Her leadership spans clinical practice, workforce development, education and system transformation, with a particular focus on integrated and neighbourhood population-based models of care and improving outcomes for patients and communities.
With extensive experience in professional education and pedagogy, Jodie has previously led Simulation-Based Education for Health Professions at Birmingham City University and continues to contribute to the development of future healthcare professionals and the wider allied health professions workforce.
Her national and regional portfolio includes leadership as Rehabilitation Lead for the NHS England Midlands Long Covid Service, Education Consultant for the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and Specialist Advisor for Acute Services to the Care Quality Commission. She also serves as a Trustee of University Hospitals Birmingham Charity.
Alongside her clinical, executive and academic leadership, Jodie is a doctoral researcher focused on advancing rehabilitation practice, service innovation and evidence-based healthcare delivery. A passionate advocate for patient voice and co-production, she is committed to ensuring that the experiences and priorities of patients, families and communities remain central to healthcare transformation.
