Ella Cordon Vieito completed her bachelor’s degree at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, including an Erasmus exchange at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, under the tuition of Marie Louise Bodendorf. She continued her studies at the Liszt Academy of Music under the tuition of Kecskés Balázs after having been awarded with the Joshep Weingarten Scholarship and is currently studying a master’s degree at RBC with Robert Markham and John Thwaites.
Ella has performed in a number of solo recitals in the West Midlands; at the Holy Trinity Church in Leamington Spa, Shrewsbury Cathedral, Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon and at RBC. She has also played in the Ulverston International Music Festival, in the pre-CBSO showcase at Birmingham Symphony Hall, at the 2024 edition RBC Piano Prize (Highly Commended) and at the 2024 edition of the Renna Kellaway Competition (First Prize).
She has collaborated with tenor horn player Anabel Voigt, performing in St Paul’s Church in Birmingham as well as recording two pieces together for her CD Farbenspiel; with Martina Cuevas, performing a two-piano recital including repertoire by Philip Glass and Rachmaninoff; and with saxophonist Hugo Lomba, performing music by Falla, Bartók and Piazzolla.
