Lucy Kerby (pictured) is a final year masters flute student at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, under the tuition of Marie-Christine Zupancic, Helen Benson and Andrew Lane. She has performed in a range of projects at RBC, such as the Conservatoire Symphony Orchestra, Spring Opera, and recording with the Orchestra of the Swan, and is also a current member of the City of Birmingham Symphony Youth Orchestra. Lucy also performers as part of a selection of chamber groups.
Prior to moving to Birmingham, Lucy studied for her undergraduate Music degree at the University of Leeds. She is a part-time instrumental teacher, and enjoys sharing her love for music with others.
Phoebe Curcher is a soprano from Berkshire currently in her fourth year of study at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She is a soprano scholar with the Josephine Baker Trust Scheme as of 2024, and in 2025 was awarded 2nd place in the Edward Brooks English Song Prize.
Some of Phoebe’s recent performances include Eurydice in RBC’s 2026 spring opera Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach, Laetitia in Menotti’s The Old Maid and The Thief and Dido in RBC’s 2025 summer opera Dido and Aeneas by Purcell. She looks forward to bringing her performance of The Old Maid and The Thief to The Mayfield Festival of Music and the Arts later on this year. She is currently studying with Louise Crane.
When Phoebe is not singing she enjoys cooking, visiting old houses and going on hikes.
