Kaya at Worcester Bosch Thermotechnology

Kaya carried out her placement at Worcester Bosch Thermotechnology as an IT Support Intern, where she was part of a large team ensuring the company’s systems ran smoothly, as well as assisting in other areas ranging from marketing to recruitment. 

“On placement, no two days would be the same. There would be new IT-related issues every day, so finding solutions for these was a part of my routine. I was also involved in the IT Fleet Management process which involved installing new PCs, laptops and tablets, configuring them and dispatching them to end users.

“One of my main highlights was receiving a Certificate of Exceptional Performance and Innovation for providing IT support during a business critical situation. I was also offered a two-month extension to my placement, which I accepted. 

“Doing a placement year was the best decision I could have made. I feel a lot more knowledgeable and confident, especially in professional environments such as job interviews and presentations.
