Dr. Vahid Javidroozi is a Senior Research Fellow, currently working on various research projects and bids, including a business process-centric framework for smart cities, so-called "FABS", developed during his PhD research, by applying a combination of systems engineering, systems thinking, and critical realism principles; Governance for city process change, smart building, IOT for smart city, smart building, BPR for smart manufacturing, Real-Time Service Provisions in Urban Computing Environment, city process modelling, Global Partnership for Digital Transformation and sustainable cities, Educational process transformation during pandemic, and other research projects related to smart cities, Business Process Change (BPC), digital transformation, and systems integration.

Vahid obtained BSc Computer Science in 2009. He also acquired MSc Enterprise Systems Management with distinction in May 2012.

Since 2004, Vahid has continuously worked in business process related fields such as business process analysis, consultancy and research.

Moreover, Vahid is a LEGO Serious Play certified Facilitator that provides him with an exciting opportunity to utilise his facilitation skills for teaching, research, and consultancies.

As a career academic, all the work he has done across systems engineering, smart city development, enterprise systems, and information systems contexts, link in one way or another on improving the integration of people, process, and technology to support well-being and enhance quality of life at all levels; as well as to inspire students and colleagues to broaden their understanding and knowledge of these domains. Many insights from his earlier research and industrial experience inform his future work in the urban computing and sustainability domains with the relevant and up-to-date knowledge.
