Dr. Syed Attique Shah is working as a Lecturer in Smart Computer Systems, at the School of Computing and Digital Technology, Birmingham City University, UK. Dr. Shah has more than 10 years of experience in teaching and research. Previously, he was working as a Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the Data Systems Group, Institute of Computer Science, University of Tartu, Estonia. He has also worked as an Associate Professor and the Chairperson at the Department of Computer Science, BUITEMS, Quetta, Pakistan. He has been recognized by HEC Pakistan as an approved Ph.D. supervisor.

Dr. Shah completed his Ph.D. at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey. During his Ph.D., he studied as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Tokyo, Japan, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, and Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia, where he completed the major content of his thesis. He has published more than 15 research papers in reputable Q1 journals. He has also presented several research papers at internationally renowned conferences. He has been involved in many funded research projects as Co-Principal Investigator and Project Lead. His research interests include big data analytics, information management, software-defined networking, and the Internet of Things
