How to keep calm the night before results day
It’s the night before you learn your fate and the jitters are really setting in. To stop you having a sleepless night and make sure you celebrate your results tomorrow, here are four things you can do to prepare yourself.
1) Make sure you’ve made the right decision
You might be feeling uneasy about more than just your results. If you're worried you might have chosen the wrong course, Clearing gives you the opportunity to change your mind on your course or university. Need a little inspiration? Why not check out our courses to see if a different subject interests you?
2) Talk to us on social media
If you’ve got any questions about results day, Clearing, our courses or just fancy a chat, we’ll be here on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Getting answers to that burning question of yours might make it easier for you to relax and get back to the land of nod. Find out how.
3) Get ready for uni
Looking forward to the exciting day of moving to uni might help to relax you the night before results day. A lot like counting sheep, thinking of all the things you'll need to start uni is a strange but practical way to drift off to sleep. Wondering what you’ll need to take to uni with you this September? Whether it's stationery, clothes or kitchen essentials we’ve got a free preparing for uni guide that you can download.
4) Make a plan B – just in case
Sometimes things don’t go quite to plan, but there’s always options. No one likes to go into results day thinking about Clearing, but it’s a great option if you didn’t quite get the grades for your firm choice university, or if you've changed your mind. We recommend having a little read up on the C word, just so you know what it’s all about in case you need it; it’s not as scary as you might think. Here’s some articles you might find useful:
