Centre for Applied Finance and Economics (CAFE)
Our new Centre for Applied Finance and Economics (CAFE) carries out quantitative research using applied financial and economic modelling.
We are mainly financed by the Birmingham University Business School, but also from externally funded projects. Most of our members are from the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics (AFE), some from Strategy, Management and Marketing (SMM). We also work interdisciplinary across the Business School, the University and partner research institutes.
CAFÉ specialises in applied Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) models, Econometrics, Business Analytics and other methods, and grouped into research clusters.
