Connor Osborn
Connor joined Birmingham City University in 2025 as a lecturer, bringing over a decade of experience in youth work and a strong background in digital media and music.
Having completed a master’s degree in Youth and Community Leadership in 2024, Connor is a JNC-qualified youth worker with extensive experience working across diverse settings. Their professional journey has included leading youth projects, mentored young people, and developed innovative approaches to community engagement. They have a passion for empowering young people through creative and participatory methods, including co-designed initiatives and programs that promote personal and professional growth.
In addition to their youth work expertise, Connor has substantial experience in the digital media and music sectors, where they have successfully combined technical skills with community-focused practice. This unique blend of knowledge and skills enables them to offer students an interdisciplinary perspective on youth and community work.
At Birmingham City University, Connor teaches modules that integrate practical placement foundations with theoretical learning, helping students bridge the gap between academic study and professional practice. They are committed to fostering an engaging and inclusive learning environment, equipping students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their future careers.
