The School of Arts Cultural Mobility Legacy Exhibition is the culmination of shared experiences our students have had as a result of being awarded a travel bursary to help support their professional and personal development.
The exhibition showcases contributions from current students and alumni from the Department of Art and Design, the Department of English and Media and the Department of Fashion and Jewellery. It includes examples from a Cultural Immersive Mobility Experience Project that was first piloted in 2025, that has provided students with the opportunity to conduct research and gain life experiences in support of final major projects and career progression in destinations from Ireland, multiple European Cities, Los Angeles to Indonesia. Included in this exhibition are also contributions from current students and alumni who have received awards through a Venice Fellowship Programme through a 3-year partnership with the British Council.
All student contributions that form part of this exhibition demonstrate the wider student experience support we offer to our students beyond the university in celebration of their journey in becoming BCU Global Citizens aligned to our strategy; ‘To Develop the Talent of Tomorrow, to Create Knowledge for Good and to Power Prosperity’.
